Blame the Victim

There is no terrible situation that Donald Trump can't make worse.
In response to the murders of actor/director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner this weekend, perhaps at the hands of their son, Trump posted his own unique take hours after the tragedy.
Rob Reiner died "reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS."
Just when you think Trump can't get more revolting, he reaches down and attains a new circle of hell that even Dante couldn't imagine.
In Trump's reality, Reiner deserved to die because he opposed Trump. This is a potentate gone bananas.
"He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before," continued Trump.
Using a double murder to exalt himself. That's a dive from a springboard that even Greg Louganis couldn't have pulled off.
I can make sense of this delusional diatribe in only one way. Trump, as a narcissist, makes everything about him. Reiner was outspoken against him. I doubt Trump actually believes Reiner caused his own death by irritating a Trump supporter into homicide.
But his narcissism demands he use the deaths to his own purposes. And if he can get in the last word against an enemy, hey, that's a win.
This outcome to his minor spat with Reiner suits Trump much better than the alternatives. Otherwise he might've had to deny aid to Los Angeles, or order his attorney general to investigate all Hollywood directors, or place Scott Baio in charge of the Oscars.

Righteous and Wrong-eous Indignation

Author Stephen King caught hell for posting that the late conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk "advocated stoning gays to death." King apologized. I don't understand why. He was right.
Last year, children's You Tuber Ms. Rachel had the audacity to claim that the biblical admonition to "love thy neighbor" should apply to gay people. On a podcast, Kirk reacted by saying "by the way, Ms. Rachel, you might want to crack open that Bible of yours. In a lesser reference, part of the same part of scripture, is in Leviticus 18, is that 'thou shall lay with another man shall be stoned to death.' Just saying."
He concluded that ol' 18 "affirms God's perfect law when it comes to sexual matters."

Another Day At the Office
I couldn't make this up if I tried.
Here's what Donald Trump actually posted on Saturday: "Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
Trump and O'Donnell have feuded for years, two loud New York celebrities swiping at each other. Now free of restraints, Trump believes if he as president loathes someone then that person is "a threat to humanity." Come on. Vladimir Putin is a threat to humanity. Rosie O'Donnell isn't even a threat to Brooklyn.
I don't know which is scariest, Trump's thin skin, his ego, or his willful disregard of what a president can legally do. All of them add up to a person you wouldn't want serving as a crossing guard, let alone as leader of the free world.
O'Donnell responded by posting. "I'm everything you fear. A loud woman, a queer woman, a mother who tells the truth, an American who got out of the country before you set it ablaze. You are everything that is wrong with America—and I’m everything you hate about what’s still right with it."
She also posted a picture of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein, and I wonder whether the imbroglio Trump is in concerning Epstein is why he posted about O'Donnell, an attempt to divert his MAGA followers. So far, they're proving surprisingly undivertable.
O'Donnell concluded, "You want to revoke my citizenship? Go ahead and try, King Joffrey with a tangerine spray tan." I've never seen "Game of Thrones," but I know Joffrey is described as a "villainous child-king," and that perfectly sums up Trump in 2025.Sunday, June 1, 2025
Captain Ludicrous

As we head into a new work week, take comfort in knowing that the president of the United States always has the American people in the forefront of his mind.
Except when the president is Donald Trump.
On Saturday night, Trump took the time to repost on Truth Social a gonzo claim that former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced with clones or robots.
That's our leader, so measured, so calming, so responsible.
I'd feel more secure being governed by Trump's putter.
