I'm so glad you found General Gayety!

As the name suggests, GG lives at the intersection of homosexuality and humor. Since its scope is broader than that, encompassing the entire queer alphabet soup, let's say GG hangs out at the intersection of queerness and quips. And yes, allies are more than welcome in this neighborhood.

With the ascension of Donald Trump, I felt the need to widen my lens. It was either that or explode.

Peruse the posts below and you'll find I comment on all aspects of queer life, both in the U.S. and around the world. Politics is central. If you consider yourself non-political, GG isn't for you. You've been warned. And a touch scolded.

In addition to my usually short posts, the GG blog offers memes, cartoons, and videos that I don't create but think you'll enjoy. Each Wednesday I offer "This Week's Quote," pearls from folks that are timely or queer or both.
